ng to a release put out by Paramount, Denzel Washington will star and Robert Zemekis will direct, FLIGHT.
Denzel Washington is now confirmed to star as an airline pilot who is hailed as a hero after landing a crippled jet with only a handful of deaths, but is plagued by guilt over things he did that may have caused the crash. This is the first time denzel and zemekis are teaming up for a flick, and we are pretty stoked!
Over the past decade, Zemeckis has focused largely on the performance-based animation films The Polar Express, Beowulf, and Jim Carrey's A Christmas Carol, so this will be his first non motion capture film since castaway.
Flight will begin filming in Atlanta next month and as we get more details we will keep you posted!
