BIOGRAPHY
"Pistol" P. Washington embodies the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a rockstar. Currently based in Las Vegas, the Seattle native moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue his music career. He began cutting hair in a Hollywood barber shop, where an intense freestyle battle led him to a meeting with a top executive at Universal Music Group. By 2008, "P" had recorded with several heavy hitters such as Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Brandy, Da Brat, and had been offered recording deals with most of the largest major labels in the business, including Warner Music Group, Atlantic, Sony, and Interscope.
In late 2009 P. Washington packed up and hit the road, performing in every city from Bakersfield to Atlanta, opening up for major acts such as E-40, Lloyd, Mario, Paul Wall and Too $hort. Unsatisfied with the deals the labels were offering him, Pistol decided to start his own independent label (FlyGun Republic) in September of 2010. By October he signed Pop/R&B star MeanGirl, and Alternative/Pop act Tad Swanson, all three of them had singles on the radio and internet by the middle of November.
His perfect flow, passionate street anthems, and contagious club smashes has the Pwashington brand catching like wild fire, spreading to more than 30 countries including Japan, London, China and Africa.
Since January he has performed in more than 50 shows across the nation, made several interview appearances at radio stations, and released a single, an EP and a few mixtapes along the way.
